This morning the University of North Dakota athletics department with Internet partner Neulion began a relaunch of the redesigned FightingSioux.com, the official site of UND athletics.

The goal of the new website is to improve the delivery of news, videos and other information on Fighting Sioux athletics teams to UND fans, friends, alumni and others. Updated services include:

  • Increased awareness and access to latest videos of interviews, press conferences and live games.
  • One-click access to live video, live stats, podcasts.
  • Embedded video that complements news articles with faster page load time.
  • Easier access to latest photo galleries and auctions.

The new FightingSioux.com also features a new photo store, which provides easier access and search functions to the thousands of current and historic photos in our database. As part of the relaunch, FightingSioux.com is offering 15% discount on all photo purchases with the coupon code Sioux15.

Other new items on FightingSioux.com:

  • Search function at top and bottom of page.
  • Increased social network awareness, including recent tweets from UND athletics Twitter account.
  • Larger calendar of events with television and radio information with multimedia links.
  • Related Links box collects article links in one location.

FightingSioux.com was launched in 1999 and last underwent a redesign in January 2007. The site is overseen by the UND athletics media relations office.

More improvements on FightingSioux.com will happen over the next few months. Keep an eye on updated schedule pages and bio pages, a redesigned mobile site, mobile device applications and Facebook integration.
