GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota department of athletics is proud to announce a new partnership with Fox College Sports (FCS) that will allow national distribution of all telecasts produced by the Fighting Sioux Sports Network.

Fox College Sports is available on cable in 54 million homes nationwide.

"This is a significant step in both promoting our program on a national scale and giving Fighting Sioux fans across the country the ability to watch our games live from their living rooms," UND director of athletics Brian Faison
said. "This agreement between UND athletics and Fox College Sports could not have happened without the cooperation of our partners at Forum Communications and Midcontinent Communications. We are grateful for their commitment to helping us reach our goals."

Fox College Sports will distribute three home football games, all home men’s hockey games and 12 home basketball games in 2009-10. FCS will also broadcast the weekly Sioux Sports Extra magazine show.

"FCS is proud to be the national distributor of University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux athletics," said FCS vice-president Max Casanova. "We are thrilled to bring such prestigious competition into the homes of millions of college sports fans across the nation."

Saturday’s UND Homecoming football game against South Dakota will be seen live on Fox College Sports Atlantic at 4 p.m. Central and will be re-broadcast five times beginning at midnight Central on Sunday morning.

Sunday’s men’s hockey exhibition game against Manitoba will be telecast live on FCS Atlantic beginning at 6 p.m. Central.

Sioux Sports Extra can be seen weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. Central on Fox College Sports Central. The show will also be seen at other selected times, including 3:30 p.m. Central on Saturday prior to the kickoff of the UND-USD football game.
