GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota Athletics Department is pleased to announced that the Fighting Sioux Sports Network, in conjunction with Ralph Engelstad Arena, WDAZ-TV and Midcontinent Communications, have partnered with Nodak Mutual Insurance Company to bring the telecast of the men’s hockey series between UND and Wisconsin back to Sioux hockey fans.
The broadcast of the weekend series will be aired on most local and regional cable systems that normally carry Fighting Sioux Sports Network hockey broadcasts. Contact your local cable provider for broadcast details in your area.
“We are very appreciative of the cooperation between all of the partners of the Fighting Sioux Sports Network and grateful for the fantastic support of Nodak Mutual Insurance for making this possible,” said UND Athletics Director Brian Faison. “Nodak Mutual provided support to make this broadcast happen so that all of our great fans could see this very important series.”
“Nodak Mutual Insurance is happy to be a part of the telecast and to bring this exciting Wisconsin series to all of the Fighting Sioux fans across the region,” said Joe Welsch, director of marketing and public relations for Nodak Mutual.
The Fighting Sioux will play the Badgers at the Kohl Center in Madison on Friday and Saturday at 7:07 p.m.
UND enters the final weekend of the regular season alone in first place in the WCHA and needs just one point to clinch a share of the MacNaughton Cup as regular season champions for the first time since 2003-04. The Sioux can clinch the title outright with two points or a Denver loss to Colorado College.
