Four Sioux tennis players earn ITA Scholar-Athlete awards

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – University of North Dakota seniors Emily Callison (Mesa, Ariz.) and Katie Wessman (Fargo, N.D.), junior Katie Callison (Mesa, Ariz.) and freshman Tiffany Reisenauer (Dickinson, N.D.) have been named Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athletes by the ITA.

 

The award is given to varsity letterwinners who have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 during the current academic year.

 

Emily Callison is an exercise science major, Wessman is a business major, Katie Callison is a communication major and Reisenauer is a psychology major.

 

UND’s tennis team, under the direction of head coach Tom Wynne, maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.654, the highest of any Sioux team in 2008-09.
