The 2009 season was ended in Newark, N.J. in the Great West Conference Championship Tournament.  For our first game we played the number one seed New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and this was one of the best games all season.

The atmosphere was filled with high energy from all the UND fans.  We had several parents make the trip out and the UND volleyball team was also there competing and cheering us on.  We defeated NJIT  3-1 and moved on to the next day to play Houston Baptist.  Unfortunately we lost and did not move on.  We also went to the UND versus NJIT volleyball game to cheer on the team. They came out with a win.

We ended the trip with a visit to New York City. Not many teammates have been to New York so it was fun to go as a team and see all the sites and shopping centers.

This is the last blog of 2009 season and we would like to thank a few people: First to all our parents. Thank you for traveling to our games and for always supporting us and we are so glad you all finally got the "Sioux yeah yeah" cheer down this last weekend.

Second to our coaches.  Thank you for making our lives easier by getting us practically anything we could want.  We may not always say it but we are truly thankful for everything you do for us.  Also to Aaron, thank you for getting us fast and strong and for all your encouraging words.

Third to our administration, especially Daniella Irle who traveled with us to New Jersey.

Finally, and most importantly, to our teammates.  All the seniors would like to thank you for never giving up and always coming with great attitudes, never stop fighting, and for never giving up on each other.  We will never forget our experiences at UND and we will never forget about our soccer team.

From the 2009 seniors Thank You and good luck next year we will be cheering for you all.
