KANSAS CITY, Mo.--The Fighting Sioux men's golf team shot a final-round 318 today and finished in 13th place at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

The Sioux posted their lowest score of event in today's final round and finished with a three-round 973 (326-329-318) at the par-72, 7,318-yard Blue Hills Country Club.

Central Arkansas (292-290-298=880) led from beginning to end and claimed a five-shot victory over runner-up Nebraksa, who shot the lowest team round of the event today with a 288.

Wichita State's Dustin Garza, on the strength of yesterday's second-round 68 and a final-round 71, captured medalist honors with a five-under 211, six shots better than his closest competition.

Freshman Alex Robb (Chanhassen, Minn.) was the top performer for the Sioux. Robb finished with a 15-over 231, including an opening-round 74 that stood as UND's best individual round, and tied for 37th place.

UND senior Dustin Steiner (Fargo, N.D.) carded a team-best 75 during the final round.

Tyler Monda (So., Brainerd, Minn.), Patrick Thomas (So., Fargo, N.D.) and Nick Schaefer (Fr., Grand Forks) also competed for the Sioux.

UND will return to action in the spring.
