Men's golf in fourth after two rounds at the UTPA Golf Classic

EDINBURG, Texas - The Fighting Sioux men's golf team is currently in third place after two rounds of competition in the UTPA Golf Classic at the Los Lagos Golf Course. UND posted a two-round score of 663 (314-319). Leading the way after two rounds is Houston Baptist University with a two round total of 607 (307-300).

Sophomore Matthew Wrolstad (Fargo, N.D.) is currently tied for 12th and is leading the way for the Fighting Sioux men with a two-round score of 158 (80-78). Teammate Tyler Monda (So. Brainerd, Minn.) is currently in 16th place. Monda carded 160 (78-82) after two rounds.

Patrick Thomas (So., Fargo, N.D.) is tied for 17th place after two rounds with a score of 161 (83-78). Freshman Alex Robb shot a team best 73 in his first round of competition and is currently in 20th place with a score of 163 (73-90).

Rounding out the first day of competition for the Sioux is senior Dustin Steiner (Fargo, N.D.), who opened the competition with a first round score of 84. Steiner shaved three strokes off his score in the second round and is tied for 21st with a score of 165 (84-81).

The final round of competition in the UTPA Fall Classic will be tomorrow at the Los Lagos golf course.
