LINCOLN, Neb.--University of North Dakota junior Josh LaBlanc finished 12th individually and led the Fighting Sioux men's cross country team to a fourth-place showing this morning at the 20th annual Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational at Pioneers Park.

It was the second time in as many meets this season LaBlanc has paced the Sioux after missing the 2008 season while fulfilling an academic internship.

LaBlanc, a native of International Falls, Minn., recorded a time of 26:42.55.

The host Huskers captured their own meet for the fourth straight year, behind individual medalist David Adams. The sophomore posted a time of 24:29.40 and was one of five Huskers to crack the top eight.

LaBlanc was joined in the top 20 by his teammate, senior Kyle Rosseau (Eagan, Minn.). Rosseau placed 18th with a time of 27:11.40.

Also counting toward UND's team score of 116 were sophomore Tyler Rose (Brainerd, Minn.), senior Jeremy Jones (Grand Forks) and freshman David Niday (Richfield, Minn.). Rose placed 21st, while Jones and Niday placed 32nd and 33rd, respectively.

Sophomore Carl Sedgeman (Sauk Centre, Minn.) and junior Cory Absey (Grand Forks) also competed for UND, placing 34th and 35th, respectively.
