VERMILLION, S.D.--The Fighting Sioux men's cross country team finished second today at the University of South Dakota Tim Young Invitational at Don Baker Cross Country Course.
The host Coyotes took first place in the team standings while Creighton finished third.
USD's Rob Gregoire captured medalist honors after completing the 8K course in 25:48.83.
Senior Kyle Rosseau (Eagan, Minn.) was the top runner for the Sioux, placing fourth with a time of 26:27.88.
Sophomore Tyler Rose (Brainerd, Minn.) joined his teammate in the top-10, finishing eight in 26:49.50.
Five other Sioux participated in the meet, including Josh LaBlanc (Jr., International Falls, Minn.), Jeremy Jones (Sr., Grand Forks), David Niday (Fr., Richfield, Minn.), Cory Absey (Jr., Grand Forks) and Joss Blatherwick (Jr., Bottineau, N.D.).
