UND women finish seventh in PTSIR Performance Classic

HAMMOND, IN. - The UND Fighting Sioux women's golf team finished seventh overall at the PTSIR Performance Classic today with an overall team score of 670 (330, 340). Leading the way for the Sioux women was senior Kristi Lucken (Fosston, Minn.) who placed sixth overall with a two-round score of 158 (76, 82). Following Lucken was teammate Robin Hutchinson (Fr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) who tied for 32th with an overall score of 171 (87, 84).

Freshman Megan Grozdanich (Grand Rapids, Minn.) tied for 35th place and carded an overall score of 172 (86, 86). Junior Lauryn Job (Minnetonka, Minn.) finished in 37th place with a two-round score of 173 (85, 88).  Abby Rueter (So., Sartell, Minn.) tied for 51st place with an overall score of 186 (95, 91).

Finishing the final day of competition for the Sioux women was freshman Shantel Montgomery (Minot, N.D.) with an overall score of 174 (83, 91). Montgomery finished tied for 38th place in the Classic.

The Fighting Sioux women will continue their fall season on Monday, Oct. 5th at the Firestone Grill Invite in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
