UND women's golf finish 10th in Firestone Grill College Invitational

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Fighting Sioux women's golf team rounded up their second day of competition at the Firestone Grill College Invitational today. The Sioux women placed 10th overall with a three-round score of 1043 (343-356-344). Cal Poly and CSU-Northridge tied for first place with a score of 917.

Senior captain Kristi Lucken lead the way for UND by posting an overall score of 245 (86-81-78). Lucken tied for 23rd overall. Junior captain Lauryn Job (Minnetonka, Minn.) placed 46th by carding a three-round score of 255 (83-86-86).

Freshman Megan Grozdanich (Grand Rapids, Minn.) compiled an overall score of 276 (93-92-91) which gave her a finishing position of 54th place. Shantel Montgomery (Fr., Minot, N.D) finished in 55th place overall with a score of 280 (84-97-99). Rounding out the two-day competition for the Fighting Sioux was junior Molly Martin (Ramsey, Minn.) who finished 56th overall by posting a three-round score of 282 (90-103-89).

The UND Fighting Sioux women's golf team will continue their 2009 fall season on Oct. 11th in Vermillion, S.D.
