Women's golf team currently in fourth place after two rounds

EDINBURG, Texas - The UND Women's Golf team is currently in fourth place after the first day of competition in the UTPA Golf Classic at the Los Lagos Golf Course. The Sioux women posted a two-round score of 692 (350-342). Houston Baptist University is leading the event with a score of 630.

Senior Kristi Lucken (Fosston, Minn.) is in 14th place after carding a two-round score of 169(84-85). Junior Lauryn Job (Minnetonka, Minn.) is in 18th place after shaving two strokes off her first round score and ending the day with a score of 172.

Freshman Shantel Montgomery (Minot, N.D) is right behind teammate Job in 19th place with a score of 173 (88-85). Robin Hutchinson (Fr., Detroit Lakes, Minn.) is sitting in 20th place after dropping four strokes from her first round score. Hutchinson posted a two-round score of 178 (91-87).

Finishing up the first day of competition for the Fighting Sioux women is freshman Megan Grozdanich (Grand Rapids, Minn.) who posted a two-round score of 182 (92-90) for 21st place.

The final round of competition will conclude tomorrow at the Los Lagos Golf Course in Edinburg.
